Fire in DPW Building

The Lynnfield Department of Public Works garage sustained significant damage to the structure and several pieces of town equipment.  SERVPRO was onsite within minutes to assist the DPW with clean up.  The garage has six bays which all suffered soot damage from heavy to medium with a heavy odor of soot present throughout the building.

SERVPRO removed affected suspended ceiling tiles for disposal, dry clean sponged ceiling with  joists and cleaned all structure and contents. Removal and disposed of all porous contents was needed due to soot and odor.  The ceiling insulation will be removed with scissor lifts due to cross contamination and odor.

Air scrubbers were installed to maintain air quality.
