SERVPRO Uses ULV Fogger for Cleaning & Disinfecting

SERVPRO of Malden/Melrose was called to a local business for a quote to clean and disinfect during a planned shutdown. The owner requested a proactive cleaning and disinfecting to minimize the transmission of emerging viral pathogens, in this case COVID-19. The “CO” Corona “VI” Virus “D” Disease was first identified in 2019. This infectious disease is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Per recommendation of the CDC, the surface should first be cleaned (removed of soils) then disinfected (reduction of 99.99%) of organisms using an EPA-approved product from List N. As always, it is important that proper PPE equipment and procedures take place to protect the health and safety of the technicians regardless of the active threat.
